EP 1: FIRST DATE OUTFITS
OUTFIT 1: The Is-It-Or-Isn’t-It Date
This first look is for the date you’re not sure is a date. Whether you’re going for a casual outing with a classmate, or you’ve been friend zoned and this might be your way out, this is one of those times when you don’t want to seem like you’re jumping the gun.
How do you dress for a date when you aren’t really sure whether it’s a date at all? Casually. Denim is always a fail-safe way to go in any occasion, and a dressy lace top is great for dinner with a friend (or more).
Origins –
Nastygal Trench
Aliexpress Lace Top
American Apparel Jeans
H&M Boots
OUTFIT 2: The Online to IRL Date
My second outfit is for the online to IRL date. From Tinder to OKCupid to Eharmony to even Instagram, online dating can be super daunting. You don’t want to overdress, but you definitely want to look your best in a cute-not-catfish way. Cute and comfy is key here, since you’re probably already pretty nervous (and you don’t want to be worried about your wardrobe choices). Specific – An LBD is a foolproof option, an in floral print it’s especially fun and flirty. But opt for flats so you can be comfortable (because you never know how tall your date might ACTUALLY be.)
Origins –
Asos Floral Dress
H&M Jacket
Via Spiga Boots
OUTFIT 3: The Ex Date
Skit: Spilling food on myself/ food all over my face/ spinach in teeth
And this last look is for the “ex date.” You know, where you wanna show just how AWESOME you’re doing without them. You want to look hot, but not like you spent all day trying to look hot, so choose something sleek and polished.
You definitely want to impress with this one, so wear that red lipstick and break out those “I can do it all by myself” heels. A badass jacket completes your independent woman vibe, so you know you’ll look so good that ex can just kiss your stylin’ butt.
Origins –
Asos Dress
Nastygal Jacket
The Mode Collective Heels
